{"id":38776,"date":"2020-07-01T14:12:59","date_gmt":"2020-07-01T12:12:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/drytech.ch\/depuratore-rozzano\/"},"modified":"2025-05-07T16:58:05","modified_gmt":"2025-05-07T14:58:05","slug":"water-treatment-tanks-waterproofing","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/drytech.ch\/en\/water-treatment-tanks-waterproofing\/","title":{"rendered":"Waterproofing of tanks in wastewater treatment plants"},"content":{"rendered":"\t\t<div data-elementor-type=\"wp-post\" data-elementor-id=\"38776\" class=\"elementor elementor-38776 elementor-30353\" data-elementor-settings=\"{&quot;ha_cmc_init_switcher&quot;:&quot;no&quot;}\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-a8c951f elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"a8c951f\" data-element_type=\"section\" data-e-type=\"section\" data-settings=\"{&quot;_ha_eqh_enable&quot;:false}\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-55828262\" data-id=\"55828262\" data-element_type=\"column\" data-e-type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-6f47b17 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"6f47b17\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The waterproofing of tanks in wastewater treatment plants presents a double challenge for watertight systems.<\/p><p>This type of structure must in fact guarantee double impermeability: to the external water table and, obviously, to the water treated inside the tank.<\/p><p>The Rozzano Purification Plant is also located on a narrow strip of land between the southern course of the Lambro river on one side and a canal on the other, in the south-east area of \u200b\u200bthe Smeraldino Oasis.<\/p><p>So the theme of the watertightness of the work is, if possible, even more sensitive due to the environmental implications.<\/p><p>Made by the Intesa Costruzioni company in collaboration with Drytech, the new purification tank was built in just 120 days with the Drytech Tank system.<\/p><p>The waterproof concrete was formulated by <a href=\"https:\/\/drytech.ch\/en\/drytech-engineering\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Drytech Engineering<\/a> based on the characteristics of the system chosen by the construction company, with the aim of ensuring, in addition to watertightness, chemical resistance to urban waste.<\/p><p>Similar resistance is obviously required for DRYflex resin, which, being expanding, waterproofs joints, cracks and crossings by pressure.<\/p><p>The resin is injected along the entire thickness of the structure, so it opposes the water with a corresponding barrier.<\/p><p>Furthermore, the compatibility of DRYflex with drinking water &#8211; certified by compliance with BS 6920-1: 2000 &#8211; allows for guaranteed use in structures in contact with drinking water.<\/p><p>The new tank of the Rozzano Purification Plant, which came into operation in February 2019, has a capacity of 1,700 m\u00b3\u00a0and treats a maximum flow rate of 360 m\u00b3 \/ h.<\/p><p><span style=\"color: #fa4616;\">Ownership<\/span><span style=\"color: #fa4616;\">:<\/span> CAP Holding SpA, Assago<\/p><p><span style=\"color: #fa4616;\">Progetto:<\/span> Ing.
